The ticketing experience was very good because it was very easy to handle. The experience around Edinburgh was perfect and the audio guide was also perfect. Thank you.
My family of 5 from US took a tour in late May. Stop #6 was very convinient to our hotel and was attended so our online thickets were scanned so we did not have to when we got on the bus. Handed a disposal set of head phones that plugged in nicely in front of us. The RED guided tour was very informative and helpful. Wish we had more time to take one of the longer tours. Highly recommend this to all first time visitors to Edinburgh. Mind the weather ; we were able to sit outdoors on the top making it a vey comfortable trip around the city. Thanks.
Learning history of Edinburgh through the headphones was great! We had a fantastic day out in Edinburgh as a family of four and would reccomend this tour. Staff were super friendly, and the buses were regular. Superb!

Very convenient way to travel around in Edinburgh, whilst learning about history and other interesting facts about the city. Easy to by tickets online, but there was also a very helpful guide by the stop at St. Andrews square.
A super pleasant and easy way to get an overview of the city. Especially when the weather isn't playing ball. You can choose the language and set the volume yourself. Buses run very regularly.

The buses were so crowded thay we cpuldn't "hop on" when we wanted to at all. There were also several long gaps when no buses came at all. We ended up going up nd walking several times during the day. Nd the audio guide wasn't that great. It repeated some of the key points many times. Experienced the same red tour last year also but with a live commentary. I enjoyed the live person better .... gave more insight. This year I took my grandchildren and they enjoyed hearing about the city.
The whole experience of sightseeing with 15 other family members. It was exciting and fun though the sun was scorching that day.
Easy on and off access for disabled people with a access ramp and friendly and helpful bus driver and very informative tour. Stops were conveniently located to everything we wanted to see. including Holyroodhouse Palace and Edinburgh Castle.
So easy to book a ticket online and one of the best hop on hop off tour I've done in Scotland. I saw everything I wanted to see and stops in all the right places. Edinburgh is awesome!
Shopping with Headout was pretty easy, although we didn't get the promised discounts, which was a bummer. The city tour was good, it gave us what we expected: a comprehensive view of the city.
This service was very easy to use and myself with mobility issues found that I could pop off and on to buses easily. Also all drivers and staff should be commended , as all very very helpfull. We done a full loop with earphones, and the decided where to get off on the second loop. WELL DONE
Love the option of open air and covered seating. Love the narration along the way. Love the flexibility to hop on hop off. It's just a great way to see the city!
Easy to book.... wonderful view of the city... easiest way to get to the waterfront. Only problem was that at one on the minor stops, the driver didn't automatically stop, so I was left standing there :-( didn't realize I needed to flag him down
Brilliant day out and the bus service is brilliant, so many stops that you can just jump off and back on again to go to another part of Edinburgh. The price is very reasonable too. I would recommend it to anyone
The buses were delayed and over-crowded. There must be a better way to manage crowds when such delays occur. Staff at bus stops told us they didn't know what was going on!
Best way to get an impression of the city, the explanation in several languages via headphones very nice and vividly told, highly recommended

Got to go to places that would have been too far to walk to
The fact that you can get on and off whenever you want, especially over a 24-hour period.

As always, this type of transport is ideal for discovering the sights - it couldn't be better! What's more, in Edinburgh the audio system was recent and fully functional, which is not always the case.

The opportunity to choose between three lines and explore the individual sights. Then get back on and continue your journey. The friendly staff contributed to an unforgettable experience.

Red and blue route - highly recommended Both the Red and Blue Routes were excellently organized. It was extremely helpful to discover so many sights in such a short time and to quickly find your way around the city - simply great! One suggestion for improvement concerns the buses on the Green Line: it would be desirable if these were also equipped with multilingual audio guides. Currently, the information is only available in English, which can be a challenge for some travelers. However, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout - even when there were language barriers. Special praise also goes to the bus drivers: attentive, courteous and a real rarity in this form. All in all, a great experience - we'd love to do it again

Great way to get about Edinburgh ,especially for first time visitors. Explore awhile then hop back on. Staff very helpful.would definitely recommend.
Great way to see the city! Great service
Took the green route as advised it is the better one with live commentary. Today going for the blue route. Very easy, relaxing and enjoyable.
We have take the Royal Tour... It was the first time we tried this type of sightseeing and we couldn't be happier! The buses were always on time and the audioguide was very detailed. Super raccomanded!
Web site easy to buy tickets and to have the maps and explainations. Audio phone and maps available on all buses. Drivers very nice, pleasant, smiling. Everything was perfect.
My wife stayed on the bus for three complete loops. I jumped off to catch the Museum of Scotland, then got back on. Call it providence or just plain good luck, but I got on a different route. I had heard of an area of town called Leith. My great-grandfather came from outside Dunfermline. he was able to name my mother and my Aunt when they were born. My mother's middle name was Leith. That was the name she went by. I really enjoyed riding through the town/area of Leith and seeing that name on signs and businesses. I had some great memories of my later nother and even shed a tear or two. All of this from getting on the Hop On/Hop Off Bus in Edinburgh. Thanks.
Ticketung experience was very good:information on website were clear and everything run easy. The tours were very well organised, audioguides run perfectly, we received many useful and interesting information.
The map provided is a bit confusing. We wanted the Blue Royal line and the map shows stops along the Royal Mile. But the Red line bus takes you to the 1st stop where you can transfer to the Blue Bus. We asked about getting as close to St. Giles Cathedral as possible and your emplyees were very, very helpful getting us on the right bus. Drivers were friendly , understanding and very helpful. Commentary was excellent.
Thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus Tour in Edinburgh. The three routes all had their own uniqueness and gave us a good overview of this amazing city.
We loved the tour and the company. Very friendly staff. As the only negative comment, there are totally blue buses on the route, and when you see it arrive at the same stops you think that the bus being blue you are undermining the blue route, and it is red route despite the color of the bus. It creates a lot of confusion. For the rest everything was great

A reccomended must do when visiting Edinburgh, provides a great incite to the history of the city, we found it very interesting
Purchased tickets online and everything went as planned. The buses came around as promised and both the audio and live guides were great. The drivers were most helpful with directions to the attractions. Well worth the money
It's a great way to get you started in exploring the city. You get lots of information about the different landmarks and the history of the city. After a round on the bus you know exactly where to go to see the places that interest you.
Buying the tickets was easy and straightforward. The guides on the street were very helpful and the drivers friendy (changing shift). What made it excellent, though, was our guide, James. He was so entertaining, engaging, and a font of interesting knowledge - 10 out of 10 James! Would definatey recommend.
The tours, the kindness of the drivers and the audio guides are very well done. Thank you for this tour of Edinburgh.

The tour guide on the green line was great relaying information live. The recorded information on the red and blue lines was okay but not as good as the live person. Was convient to get around the town. The only issue is on Marathon Weekends the routes are disrupted and go slower.
Everything ran smoothly and on time. We did all 3 courses and got a great feel for Edinburgh in a short time over a few days. Was perfect, thankyou
We liked everything, we chose the three-bus tour and it is the perfect experience, especially if you are only staying a couple of days.

The buses ran pretty much on time and it was easy to change between the lines if you bought the regal ticket. Buses were never full like in some cities so no issues getting in a us when we wanted.
The commentary was clear and interesting

Great way to see the city! Great service
Just an amazing day with my daughter fantastic place with lots of amazing animals to see. My daughter especially loved watching the sloths getting fed. Highly recomemend to any animal lovers as the place is absolutely amazing.
Best zoo I've been to so far! Animals loved happy, healthy and enriched. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Would absolutely come back if visiting Edinburgh again!
Myself my partner and my three year old son visited here during the school holidays and all three of us really did enjoy our time here, all of the animals that we saw looked well looked after and it was an amazing experience to see large wild animals up close, ticket prices are more than reasonable for a full day out although the food onsite is a little pricey so if you are thrifty make sure to take a pack up
We saw the lion but not the tiger. Loved the sloths and the chimps were very entertaining when they got cardboard boxes filled with food thrown into their enclosure
This was such a fun day out - for adults and children alike! Despite it being the summer holidays, not too crowded and entry queues moved quickly. Managed to see all the exhibits with a few good stops for decent food and ice cream too. Really well-maintained enclosures and loved the emphasis on conservation and education for the kids. Maps and signage easy to follow, nice gift shop too. The otters were a highlight, as was the dinosaur trail! Only suggestion would be to have more refillable water stations around the place. Will definitely be back when next in Edinburgh!
We had a lovely chilled out time at the zoo with lots of beautiful animals to see ..it was very clean and the animals looked well looked after
We have take the Royal Tour... It was the first time we tried this type of sightseeing and we couldn't be happier! The buses were always on time and the audioguide was very detailed. Super raccomanded!
Fantastic zoo. Nice array of animals in nice sized enclosures. Staff all very friendly and very helpful. Great to see wee Haggis and new sloth bear.
The zoo is looking very tired since i was last there years ago, need now to think the price of an adult appears expensive for what you are buying Got the tickets no problem, queues were long but it was the weekend
The Zoo is really good. We mostly can see different animals, but it is not necessary to walk through a long distance. Thus, it is best suitable for the elders and people not be able to walk over a long time. Even some animals are missing owing to the construction stages, the experience is amazing. However, the signages for indication of different animals may be made more clearer to the customers such as the locations, e.g. giraff or lion and kangeroos.
Nice zoo with helpful staff. Good range of animals. It is particularly hilly in places but at the top you get a great view. As far as I seen there was vans to take people to the top who may struggle with walking.
Edinburgh Zoo is one of the best attractions in Scotland, offering a perfect mix of wildlife, education, and stunning scenery. Spread across 82 acres on Corstorphine Hill, the zoo provides beautifully designed enclosures that give animals plenty of space and a natural environment. The highlight for many visitors is the famous Penguins Rock, where you can watch the penguins swimming and waddling around—an absolute delight for both kids and adults. The zoo is home to a wide variety of animals, including chimpanzees, big cats, and some rare species like sloths and armadillos. It’s also known for its strong commitment to conservation and animal welfare, which adds more meaning to every visit. Interactive talks and feeding sessions make it an educational experience as well as an entertaining one. The grounds are hilly, so wearing comfortable shoes is a must, but the views over Edinburgh from the higher paths are breathtaking. Food and drinks are available at the on-site cafés, though some visitors prefer bringing their own picnic to enjoy in the lovely outdoor spaces. Overall: Edinburgh Zoo is a must-visit for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking for a fun day out in Edinburgh. The combination of unique animals, friendly staff, and a focus on conservation makes it stand out as one of the best zoos in the UK.
Headed to the zoo with my boys and we had a great day out. Staff at the zoo were all really knowledgeable including at the desk when we arrived and the zoo itself is excellent. I bought my tickets through headeout and it was a seamless and straightforward process and their website is very user friendly
Took our five year old granddaughter for a visit - I had been when I was a child so it was lovely to be back. We loved it, but found the signposting not so good and couldn't find some of the animals! The facilities are very good with plenty shade (it was a hot day), toilets, cafes and the animal enclosures are very user friendly. Spent some time talking to one of the keepers at the penguins and she was really informative. All in all it was a good experience and the zoo is obviously very well taken care of in all respects.
I was with my 2 great neices aged 13 and 6. We enjoyed seeing all the animals. The dinosaurs were fun. Plenty of places for eating food, ice-cream and juices. I would recommend taking the free map to help where everything is.
My wife stayed on the bus for three complete loops. I jumped off to catch the Museum of Scotland, then got back on. Call it providence or just plain good luck, but I got on a different route. Created some well-needed memories with my children with a walk through some of Edinburgh then a quick bite at the train station, as well as a sit down in the park just before going into The Dungeon for a unique and keenly humorous show. Hopped on the comfortable busses to see the rest of Edinburgh and learned a lot about the fascinating history of the city. An experience we will not soon forget!
The actors were really funny and professional! Through interactive roleplay you could learn about the darkest history of Edinburgh.
It was lovely to see the whole city without having to get off the bus, selecting what to go back and see. I liked that it was a 24 hour pass. The audio commmentary was very good.
Easy to book online. Good atmosphere. Actors make the experience. Time flys through the experience. Good for all ages. Not scary but very interesting and interactive. Recommend
Experiencing the hangman's chair was just awesome. Post the show my wife discovered her earring was missing. We went back and with the prompt assistance of Customer Service agent Camelia and your Security In Charge we were delighted to retrieve the same. Thank you Edinburgh Dungeon for a wondferful show and your invaluable assistance. Regards, Swapan Mitra
