It was amazing! The views we're breath taking and it was indeed a lovely experience for us. There are 3 routes to take red, blue and green route. The bus used for green route was different, looks like a usual bus, no second floor and not audio guide so we won't really know where we are until we reached the garden which was the main attraction for the route. And also it's taking a bit of time to move from the current stop to the next because drivers were the ones to sell tickets at some stops at times.

It was a lovely way to see the city on a short holiday break and identify what to go to on a return trip. We chose not to hop off but good to have this opportunity to explore further if you wanted to

We liked the city, of course, but also the friendliness of your staff. Less good was that the audio system didn't work on two buses. Then the green line was not in operation that day. We could have made up for this the next day. However, we only had one day in Malaga! If we had known this beforehand then we would have planned differently!

Booking tickets online is very easy. Hop on where you want, the map shows all the stops. One of them is always nearby. All the important sights are served, the upper deck is open, so we had a panoramic view. The frequency is ok. You don't have to wait long for a bus to arrive. Definitely recommended for an extensive sightseeing tour. The only problem was that the guide was not easy to understand due to the background noise of the bus.

Tips to make the best of your Hop-on Hop-off Malaga tour

    • Begin your tour early in the day to cover more attractions and take advantage of cooler morning temperatures. You’ll also avoid peak crowds at popular stops like the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro Castle.
    • Check the route map and decide in advance which attractions you want to explore. Popular stops you must include are Castillo de Gibralfaro for panoramic views of the city, Centre Pompidou Málaga for contemporary art lovers, Malagueta Beach for a scenic seaside break, and Plaza de la Merced for history and local cafés.
    • Consider staying on the bus for the full loop at least once. This gives you a great overview of Málaga and helps you choose which stops to explore at your own pace.
    • The bus includes an informative multilingual audio guide. Carry your headphones for better sound quality and comfort while listening to the commentary.
    • Málaga’s Mediterranean sun can be intense, especially on the open-top deck. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat for protection, especially during summer.
    • If your ticket includes entry to attractions like the Málaga Interactive Museum or Carmen Thyssen Museum, prioritize those to get the best value from your pass.
    • Pack a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day, especially if you’re hopping on and off multiple times.
    • Buses run at frequent intervals, but it’s good to note the last departure times so you aren’t stranded at a stop late in the day.
    • Premium tickets often include extras like boat tours, walking tours, or entrance to major attractions. Compare the options and consider upgrading if you plan to do more sightseeing.
    • You’ll need to show your ticket each time you reboard the bus, so keep it accessible and safe throughout your journey.
