The buses are easy to find and stop very close to the sites to be visited. There are lovely views of the countryside and villages. The driver was also good at advising travellers on whether or not they had time to do the tour, so as to be back in time for the ferry. On both itineraries, having taken the 1st bus of the day, we were only able to visit Dwejra, Marsalforn, Ramla and Victoria due to lack of time, so you have to choose carefully what you really want to see. As for the audio commentaries, I can't judge as the system didn't work at our seat. We just enjoyed it with our eyes! A good experience.

Bus was fairly punctual. Driver negotiated the narrow streets very well. Gozo is a beautiful island and there is much to see. The ten minute stop at the Shrine is a good idea - just long enough to get off and take a few photos. Maybe this could be done in other places, too.

A very good plan for visiting most of Gozo. We recommend leaving as early as possible to get the most out of the trip. A refurbishment of some buses would be welcome.

I have got confised by the website, which doesn't show the rote before you pay. I paid for 2 tickets in error for Gozo ( we we were based in Silema and wanted to see Valletta & around there). As we paid for the trip the same day- it was not refundable, we never used it, just waisted money for 2 tickets. There were no way to return the tickets.

It was a comprehensive tour along the north route on the island of Malta. I wasn't sure whether to do it or not, but it was 100% worth it. Get ready for a long trip (over 3 hours and à half, without hopping off...). I would recommend to do the first 2-3 days upon arrival to have a good overview.

Took the hop-on hop-off bus with my wife last March. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical but turned out to be a SUPER easy way to get around Malta. We spent most of the day jumping off at random stops (Mdina was my fave, btw). The drivers were friendly and let us know when we were about to miss our stop (oops). Commentary was a bit cheesy but learned a few things. Only downside—some of the headphones didn’t work, but we just swapped seats. Weather was perfect for sitting up top! Would totally do it again.

Did this with my partner. The buses were mostly on time, except in Valletta where we waited like 25 mins. Otherwise, really handy way to get from A to B. The commentary made us laugh—lots of random facts about knights and pirates. Not all stops are marked well, so keep your map handy.

That were 2 different buslines that come only every hour. Not as in big cities like Rome and Athens, where you can hop on and hop off regularly They do not come nearby important acheologic sites like hypogeum or Taxien. Instead, they stop at big hotels that have only importance as you stay there.

The Polish ersion of the audio guide is unfortunately unprofessional. Both the text and the narrator who reads the text, who is confused every now and then. In addition, the text is often read at the wrong time - it tells about something we can't see at the time... Unfortunately, the buses were not always on schedule due to traffic jams. I missed information about the real time of arrival of the bus at the stops - maybe it would be possible to do this in the app? It would make planning a tour easier for tourists.

Ticketing experience was easy. However, had difficulties with the pickup point. This was resolved after wasting one hour of my tour time trying to figure out the stop.

Tips to make the best of your Hop-on Hop-off Gozo tour

  • Sit on the top deck for the best views, but bring sunscreen and a hat. Gozo’s sun is no joke, even on breezy days.
  • Start early to fit in both routes in one day comfortably, especially if you're planning to explore key sights on foot.
  • The bus doesn’t run very late, so check the last departure times to avoid getting stuck at far-flung stops like Xlendi or Marsalforn.
  • Don’t skip Xewkija Rotunda! Take the elevator to the roof for one of the best panoramic views of Gozo.
  • Carry cash for craft villages and small cafés. Many places still prefer it over cards, especially in remote stops.
  • At Dwejra, make time to walk down to the Inland Sea and take a boat ride through the sea cave if the weather permits.
  • Visit the Ggantija Temples early in the day to avoid the heat and enjoy the site in a quieter atmosphere.
  • Don’t just pass through Victoria, get off and walk the Cittadella walls for free views, and also pop into the quirky little museums.
  • If you’re doing both routes in a day, grab lunch in Victoria. It’s central, has lots of food options, and lets you recharge.
  • Weather can change quickly near coastal areas like Dwejra and Xlendi, so pack a light sweater or shawl just in case.
