Hop-on hop-off tour - Line B: Red Line Line B is greener and breezier, tracing riverbanks, elegant residential quarters, and football lore, before ascending to hill towns like Fiesole, offering sweeping panoramas, quiet villas, cypress-lined roads, and a slower rhythm that contrasts beautifully with Florence’s busy center below.

Tips to make the best of your Hop-on Hop-off Florence tour

  • Start your day early to enjoy Florence at its dreamiest. Early mornings in Florence are pure magic: quiet piazzas, empty Ponte Vecchio views, and soft golden light bouncing off the Duomo.
  • Don’t climb the Duomo and Giotto’s Bell Tower in one single day. While they both offer killer views, they require climbing hundreds of steps through narrow staircases, which could tire you out too early in your journey.
  • Eat away from the main squares to discover real Florentine flavour. Around Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Signoria, prices skyrocket and menus cater heavily to tourists. So head down side streets toward Santa Croce, San Frediano, or Sant’Ambrogio for authentic trattorias.
  • Explore smaller museums for quieter, richer experiences, as Florence is more than just the Uffizi and Accademia. Lesser-known gems like the Bargello, Museo Novecento, Palazzo Davanzati, and the Opera del Duomo Museum are less crowded but packed with incredible art and stories.
  • Be mindful of dress codes in churches, as many religious sites, including the Duomo, ask visitors to cover their shoulders and knees. Carry a light scarf or shawl if you’re out in tank tops or shorter clothing.

Camilla was a fantastic guide. She's knowledgeable and open to any and all questions. Small group of 9 & she gave us hearing devices to easily hear all of her commentary . We toured the Palace and special Fashion Exhibit. We did not have enough time for the BOBOLI Gardens but will be on my next visit list! Highly recommend.

Access to the basilica was quick and easy. Visitors were well spread out. The basilica itself was very impressive, thanks to its stained-glass windows, the paintings in the chapels, Galileo’s tomb, and the courtyard of the Order’s building.
