Red Route
Enjoyed the tour and experience. However 2 disappointments. 1. Cleanliness of the uses. Generally grub with many cobwebs evident. 2. The inability to get a disabled passenger onto our first bus due to ramp jamming out. Following bus it didn't work and driver of the stranded first bus had to show driver of the second bus how it should be used. This meant the disabled passenger was unable to get on either bus and enjoy the tour.
Fantastic was to see Stratford Upon Avon. Lots of stops, clean bus, great audio. Would highly recommend.
The distanced travelled was great and you could get off at certain spots. I went on three times it was great
Friendly driver. Why didnt he have access to the scanner though o his bus?
Overpriced! We parked at Anne Hathaways Cottage and got the bus into the town,we weren't told by the driver about the headphones for the commentary so we didn't have them for that journey and he flew along the country lanes so not much chance of seeing anything! The journey back to the Cottage was slightly better but we wouldn't recommend, its definitely something for tourists,we won't use again, the bus was filthy aswell! Inside and out . The whole experience was nothing special.
The bus stops were convenient and buses very regular. We even had a live commentary with a real person on our way back.
I was exposed to the big picture of each city.
Love the entire concept. Friendly drivers. Not crowded.
Driver was fantastic - really helpful, personable, cheery. Top bloke.
We know Stratford quite well but really enjoyed the different view from the top of the bus and the commentary. I would say the route covers all the significant sights in the area and some things and places that we didn't know about were highlighted in the commentary. The drivers were friendly and drove well. I booked the tickets online while we were at the bus stop because we didn't go to the main stop - this was very easy, except for not recognising the name Headout when my card security messaged me. It might have said something on the website about this but I didn't see it. The general mobile website isn't the best: the route pictures come up very small and I have to go to a different page to find the times for each stop. In an ideal world the map would be full size with the approximate minutes past the hour in the key.
Ticketing via internet and use of app was very user friendly. The best part of the experience were the bus drivers. They answered all my questions and went above and beyond to make sure I got to where I was going. I even had one driver come get me on the top when I didn't realize we were at the stop I wanted. Great customer service and a good tour of the city.
I loved all the history, information and music, and advanced warning of low branches I did have to move seats as my headphone socket wasn't working
Enjoyed it very much. Will come again. But ear buds were poor and a very windy day so combination meant missed a lot of the talk. Will bring my own ear buds next time
Great narrative and insight into the history of Shakespeare and the background of Stratford
5 star. Couldn't ask for more.
Ticketing easy and prompt. Also cheaper than in the day.
Informative and interesting. Coming from Australia it really gave us a feel for the place.
