It was alright. The background music was annoying. I had trouble finding the bus. That was the most annoying of all. I find old cities like Porto to be very confusing.
Allows stops at Porto's main attractions Functional bus (earphone for audio guide ok and seats available upstairs or downstairs) Friendly, understanding and helpful driver for my father with reduced mobility

Was disappointed that there was no detailed commentary or history. Usually there is much more local color and storytelling on these sightseeing tours in other cities. Also the comments were not synced with the location.
All a bit thin on content on the audio guide. Most of the two lines are boring. At the end I had to change trains and had a worse Olatz

Using the hop on/off bus allowed us to see parts of Porto that we would never have if we tried to use public transport. That was awesome!
Super nice to see a lot of Porto. Sometimes stops were super poorly marked especially on the blue line.

So the red tour is recommendable. The blue one was very boring.

Everything was ok, except for the annoying, much too loud music between the announcements.

I was in Seville at the time but when I clicked on the link in the search engine it directed me to the touristic bus in Porto. I didn't notice and ended up paying for the tour.

The route was ok but audio qty in my language Dutch was poor You must improve the sound by speaking more slowly and more clear
Lots of waiting in traffic. Long, pointless street crossings. Construction work all over town.
View original review in French
The tour was very dissapointing. The excessieve traffic and many construction sites didn't help, but besides that the blue tour is a joke. Nothing special in that tour. The red tour brings you to the Atlantic Ocean and provides a chance to walk the path along seaside. That was the best part.
Ease of booking on line. Very good guide experience. Multiple stops.
A great way to see the city of Porto. Two lines one on the Porto side (Red Line), the other to the South on the opposite side of the river (Blue Line). We rode those lines from start to finish to get a sense of what we would like to see. Then went back and did the hop-on hop off. The buses were clean and on time. Maps on the bus showed you the roots. Couldn't ask for much more than that.
The tour went past all the important places and the information was very interesting. Too bad the music in between was so much louder that you had to turn the volume down!

The ride on the red line is very nice. They explain the iconic places and tell you the stop. The blue line is not worth doing. There is almost no explanation and they don't tell you the stops. They could tell you about the history of Portugal if there is nothing else to talk about, but they played fado music, nice, but I wanted to know about Porto and its history. Sometimes the bus would wait for about 20 minutes at the stops and you would sit down and get off to take pictures. They don't tell you anything. That wastes time.

The experience is good because it fulfills its function, to show you the city. The blue line is agile but not fast. The red line, too much music and little explanation. We were not helped by the traffic jam and the horrible cold despite the fact that we were in the indoor area. A little bit of heating would have been appreciated. I understand that it is a tourist bus but I don't understand the need to go extremely slow in areas of the city that have little appeal. Despite this, I found it a good way to tour the city.

The routes in general cover the whole city very well and you can plan visits to museums, meals or shopping at different times. Depending on the plan it may have been enough with the one day voucher. The first part of the night tour I did not like because it was repeating the orange route that has a lot of slopes in industrial areas without much interest. When it gets into the blue zone it gets better. I would reconfigure that part to be optimal knowing that it is at night. There were also people who had to stand up because they didn't have more buses. That needs to be improved because everyone has paid to go sitting down and that night tour lasted more than an hour. Finally I would improve the app a bit because they tell you one, but then to see real time buses you have to go to another, the maps of the bus and the app do not match. For the price it costs that would have to be perfect and very clear. Otherwise highly recommended for the slopes that has oporto.

The Hop-On Hop-Off bus was the perfect way to explore Porto. It gave us a great overview of the city with the flexibility to get off and explore whenever we wanted. The headset app was super easy to use and made booking quick and simple. Highly recommend!
A comfortable and easy way to get to know the city

It was awful and very expensive! I don't recommend it

Although we booked the ticket online, we then had to pick it up in person at the ticket store and were given a receipt as a ticket: so inconvenient!!! The tours were rather boring and a lot of talk for very little! We saw more on the normal city bus. It was really not worth the 28€ per person!

Large tour bus not suited to narrow roads in the old parts of city.
Yes, a highly recommended experience for anyone visiting the city.

Several of the earbud boxes did not work. The stop button if you wanted to get off was not always easy to find & once it was broken.
The bus, route and above all the friendliness of the staff were very good. However, the explanations on the automatic tape during the city tour were dry as dust and lacked any context. Interesting topics with an overall view, such as the economic, social and cultural role of Porto in the Portuguese / European context, were missing.

This bus is very convenient but on the last stop a good hour's wait at the bus stop.

Not so our thing. Too long on the bus (blue line) before you could actually get off

Space on the bus, the blue route much more interesting than the orange.

The commentary during the bus ride was minimalist, with a great deal of lag, and not enough for a city as full of history as PORTO. The guided tours were in English and Spanish. Nowhere was this mentioned. So we abandoned the walking tours. If we said modest, maybe we weren't demanding enough.

Buses are nice and you do get an overall view of the city. However there is so much congestion you do not easily go from the red line to the blue line. Also it was not clear exactly where to catch the bus. Other cities you truly get the experience of hop on hop off.
The information on the audio tour was before the place to be shown. The meeting point for the cruise does not exist. The telephone operator indicated in the e-mail spoke no Portuguese and bad English. The pick-up point for the cruise tickets was changed and I received no e-mail informing me of this. I wasted more than 40 minutes trying to sort it out.

The tour and especially the boat trip were well worth it. It was just a shame that the bus simply stopped somewhere because the driver was on a break, but there was no replacement for the time being. Not so great when the return flight is getting closer and closer and the ... is pressing.

Did this with my girlfriend and we just loved sitting up top, soaking in the sun and watching the city go by. The port tasting was a nice way to finish. Highly recommend for couples.
Took the hop-on tour with my dad. We both liked the flexibility—no stress if you wanna stay longer at one spot. Port tasting was the highlight for him, lol. Would defs recommend to anyone new to Porto.
Good value for what you get. Audio guide is informative, but the headphones are a bit cheap so maybe bring your own if you care. The port wine stop is a nice reward at the end!
Did this on our last day—wish we'd started with it! Saw so many places we missed. Port tasting was BUSY but worth it. Staff helped us find the right bus back to our hotel.
SOOO glad we did this on our first day. We got the lay of the land and found spots to come back to. Port tasting was a fun end to the day. Buses run often, but can get packed after 3pm.
Took the bus tour with my wife—super chill way to see a lot without walking miles. LOVED the port tasting (bought a bottle to take home). Staff gave us some solid recs for dinner too.
Took the hop-on hop-off bus with my mom and honestly, it's the EASIEST way to get around Porto without getting lost. We sat up top, caught some sun, and the audio guide actually made us laugh a couple times (love those random facts about the bridges!). Port tasting at the end = chef's kiss. FYI, the buses get pretty packed around midday so I'd start early if you can.
Best way to see Porto if ur short on time. Got to all the main spots, and the port tasting was a fun surprise. So glad we did this first!
We did this with a group of friends and it was honestly the highlight of our trip. The port tasting is way more fun with a crowd! Buses ran on time and the top deck view is spectacular.
Great way to get around. Audio guide is detailed, but could use more jokes. Port tasting was fun, but gets crowded after 4pm.
Good for the basics but not super detailed. Audio guide is fine, but some of the stops are just ok. Wine tasting was a nice end.
Good way to see the sights if ur only in Porto for a few days. We hopped on near Clerigos Tower & the bus was like, half full. Got to the port wine tasting (which was included, nice!) by late afternoon. Staff were super chill, but the walking tour felt a bit rushed. Still, def worth it for the views from the top deck.
Did this with friends and had a good time. Buses are frequent enough. Wine tasting is a bit touristy but hey, free wine. Would do again.
Did this with my husband and it was the highlight of our trip. The views from the top deck are AMAZING. Port tasting was so good!
We did the bus tour first morning in Porto and it was the BEST way to get our bearings. Hopped off for pastries, back on for river views, off again for the cathedral. The buses are pretty punctual. Port tasting was delish (and generous pours lol).
Good value for families. My kids loved the open top. Walking tour was a bit long for little ones but we bailed halfway and just got back on the bus, so no problem.
The bus tour was a LIFE SAVER with two teens in tow. Kept everyone entertained and we could rest our feet between stops. Highlights: top deck views of the city and the walk through the old town. Heads up: bring headphones if you don't love the ones they hand out.
Perfect tour for a lazy day. Sit up top, let someone else do the driving. Port tasting was legit. Would recommend to anyone visiting Porto.
Took my parents (in their 60s) and they really enjoyed it. Easy for them to get on/off, not too much walking. Wine tasting was a bit of a squeeze but worth it.
