The Royal Palace of Caserta was a new discovery and an exciting experience. I didn't expect to see such beauty and splendor. Our guide, Ms. Antonella, was very knowledgeable and kind. She explained everything in a simple and clear manner, with a wealth of detail.

Beautiful...! The guide not at all boring and companionable, tried to get adults and children to interact. He explained the most important and curious things about each room, we visited 80 of them.Since we took the tour in the afternoon, we didn't have time to visit both the garden and the rooms, he still let us face the garden and explained the most important things and gave a few minutes to take some shots..! Without the guide, I would not have discovered coi interesting things!!!

Visiting Pompeii was a unique experience. Our guide at the archeological site, Rosa, was very knowledgeable. Walking through the ruins transported us to the life just before the volcanic eruption. Sorrento was the cherry on top. Beautiful town and the Amalfi coast was fantastic. Our driver Paolo was very skilled, navigating the narrow and windy roads with sup4me confidence. Throughout the day, our guide Antonino was friendly, knowledgeable and funny. A experience highly recommended!!!

A very well-organized trip, everything on time. A little more time would have been useful in Pompeii. We will definitely come back here again.

We had very little wait at the tourist office having booked early and were able to walk straight into the park. I advise the audio rather than the guide book - it wasn't well translated at times and missed some interesting points of interest. Makes a nice souvenir though.

Tips to make the best of your Hop-on Hop-off Naples tour

  • Book your tickets online before you arrive because you'll often score a discount and skip the queue at the bus station near the cruise port.
  • Start your day as early as possible, ideally catching the first bus at 9:30am, so you can beat the crowds and maximize your 24-hour ticket window.
  • Download the City Sightseeing mobile app before you start because it has live bus tracking, a detailed map, and helps you plan which stops to hit first.
  • Tackle Line A first for museums and cultural sites in the morning when they're less crowded, then switch to Line B for coastal views in the afternoon light.
  • Watch your belongings closely while riding and at stops because Naples has a reputation for pickpockets, especially around tourist hotspots.
  • Be aware that the red Line A route circles the outside of the historic center, so you'll still need to walk into the narrow streets where most attractions actually are.
  • Pack a light jacket even in summer because the open top deck can get breezy, especially on the coastal Line B route heading out to Posillipo.
  • Double-check which route stops near your hotel or cruise port using the downloadable PDF map on the City Sightseeing website before you leave.
  • Use the Hop-on Hop-off tour to complement walking in the city because the real magic happens in those chaotic alleys and hidden piazzas you can only explore on foot.
