The app makes it easy to plan the pick-up and drop-off points for the desired sightseeing destinations. You can also see the departure times for the respective stops in the app, which reduces waiting times. During the journey, the audio commentaries are very informative and the pause music is pleasant. This makes hop on hop off very easy and convenient.

The walking trails are easy and I spotted a lot of the wetland native animals.Con: While the Moonlit Sanctuary was a decent experience and I spotted all the animals I had in mind, I much rather prefer a more hands on farm experience– but that’s just me. In spite of my personal doubts, I would say that the pros trumped the cons. It was a day well spent!

The Cathedral skip-the-line tickets were just as advertised! We just walked right up to the door and attendant and he waved us in with our emailed voucher. And, this church is a must visit while in Palma. Such an incrdible plave to see. The hop on hop off bus was fine. The narration was good but, there are many long stretches of the ride through residential streets with little to see. That isn't the fault of City Sightseeing but rather, the layout of Palma.

The Cathedral was absolutely stunning. The height is amazing and the light coming through the stained glass is beautiful. There is a lot to see so give yourself plenty of time. Using the online ticket purchase saved a lot of time, although I don't know how effective that would be in peak season. I was there in May which was relatively quiet.

Visitor tips for the Hop-on Hop-off Mallorca tour

  • We recommend starting your trip with a full loop of your route. This way, you get a sense of what to expect from the city: the crowds, the weather, and the traffic. You might even spot off-beat spots like restaurants, bars, or stores you’d like to visit.
  • Most tourist attractions have long ticketing queues. Save yourself time by purchasing your entry tickets online.
  • Pack light for your journey. Carry only your phone, wallet, keys, water, and sunscreen. Bulky luggage will not only take up more space on the bus, but will also exhaust you faster.
  • To avoid traffic congestions, plan your visits around Mallorca’s rush hour, which is between 7:30am to 9:30 am and 4:30pm to 7:30pm.
  • Wear lightweight clothes, sunglasses, and your best walking shoes for your day out. If you’re traveling in winter, wear scarves and sweaters, especially when exploring outdoors.
  • You can also get a combo ticket, so in addition to not dealing with the hassle of public transport, you also get entry to popular sites. Purchase skip-the-line tickets to the Palma Cathedral along with your Hop-on Hop-off pass.
