Was let down on the "hop on" aspect as I waited at the St George's Market stop for 15 minutes (not bad) but when the bus came along it just drove right past me didn't stop to let me on. I had to walk all the way to the first stop to board there which defeats the purpose. The tour was good once I managed to get on it.
We had two experiences - the first was difficult for us due to the noise of the bus engine - as we were sitting outside on the commentary was drowned out by the engine noise. However, our second experience ( sitting upstairs on the near side) was EXCELLENT. RODNEY was our Tour Guide and he was amazing- great informative commentary, lovely sense of humour and concern about passenger safety.
Enjoyed the hop on hop off bus experience. Felt like it was the best way to see different parts of the city. All the drivers were informative tour guides. Had a particularly good experience with Don with his knowledge and fascinating stories.
We did the full tour of 19 stops at the top of the bus. The view was good but the noise from the bus and the other traffic meant we couldnt hear the commentary. We then sat below and went round again so we could hear the commentary. Overall it was very good and informative.
Don was an amazing tour guide from start to finish. He was extremely knowledgeable in the history of Belfast but delivered the tour in a light hearted way. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Thanks again Don!
Couldn't hear any of the audio which was most of the point of the tour
The guides on the bus were nice and funny persons. Thanks for the entertainment
There was a tour guide who was very informative
Brilliant way of seeing the city. Tour guide and driver Don was outstanding, we didn't want to get off!
The busses only picking up until 4 in a busy city seems wrong.
I thought it would be in different languages but only English was available, no headphones were given.
Staff fab , itour nfo fab , before we got started my husband wanted the open top experience so we booked yourselves, all set arrived , met lovely staff went up stairs , dry cool fresh day wrapped up well and husband sat on dry seat but with stitching on, it had absorbed the heavy rain the day before so all the water was squeezed out and he was drenched , soggy bottoms fir the whole 90 mins , we couldn't get off anywhere as he was not going to walk about with drenched cold jeans on . A big pity , a new weatheroroof covering on the seats is needed with no stitches, some seats are cracked open with wear and tear too . Our daughter was saved as we had rain coat in bag after she heard her dad's alarm. My coat was long and waterproof but after getting up after 90 mins I could feel the damp . Luckily our car was in a city carpark do we got changed. I'd feel for an older person who didn't have a change of clothes nearby and would be frozen for the day . Just to prevent this happening to anyone else . Tour info was great lots of interesting facts , so glad we did it but would have loved to get off at gaol and other places etc as we started early in the day to do all this but it didn't happen .
We took a bus 2 times in one day. 1st in the morning was super. 2nd in afternoon was bad, you can't hear or understand anything he was saying, quality of audio was so poor, literally nothing was clear, what the point of the audio tour if no one can understand it?
Great for getting to those places you want to visit, and a very informative journey with lots of information
Easy to get a ticket, good information on the bus, both last and present.
Great way to see the city and visit places you wouldn't normally see
Has a fab time and found the tour very informative
