The crew were very helpful. Even without collecting the wristband for the bikes they organised it for us. So we could still discover the beautiful island on bicycles. Of course one of the highlights and reasons coming here are the Quoakkas, and we didn't leave without a selfish. Definitely worth the trip.

Our bus driver was fantastic, very knowledgeable with some comical antics that made us all laugh. Comfortable coach too. The ferry trip was good too, lovely crew and young man at the booking office was very helpful as we missed the ferry as I thought we were on a later one. All in all a fantastic day out at a beautiful island and the Quokkas were the icing on the cake

Great boat ride Perth to Rottnest. Sat on top deck on return- enjoyed it all. Bus tour around island very good. Informative, interesting & numerous commentary by bus driver. Able to get off bus to take photos in few places. Didn't find instructions as to how to get to bus departing place very clear. Time in Rottnest after bus tour & before 4.30pm departure for a wander around the bay, museum & shops. I had a great lunch at Rottnest Hotel overlooking the beach. Ferry staff all very friendly & helpful. I would recommend this ferry & bus tour if only have one day to visit Rottnest Island

Tips to make the best of your Hop-on Hop-off Perth tour

  • Sit on the top deck for the best views, fresh air, and fewer obstructions for photos.

  • Do one full circuit before hopping off to get a feel for the route and decide what’s worth stopping for.
  • Kings Park, Elizabeth Quay, and Perth Mint are must-sees. Prioritize what interests you most to avoid wasting time.
  • When you’re planning a visit to Perth Mint, hop off at stop 7 on the bus route for easy access.
  • Some stops are close together (like in the city), so stretch your legs and explore on foot between them.
  • While there are cafes at stops, having something small on hand saves time and keeps you fueled.
  • Avoid super windy days if you want to sit up top comfortably. Bring a poncho because Perth’s weather can turn quickly.
