What made my visit with Headout truly special was the way it protected the magic of the experience. When you visit a place like the Duomo, you don’t want to feel like part of a queue — you want to feel present. From the moment I booked, everything felt clear and intentional. There was no uncertainty, no stress about timing, no standing in endless lines under the sun. That ease created mental space. And that space changed everything. Because the logistics were effortless, I was able to experience the cathedral emotionally, not just physically. I wasn’t thinking about tickets or entry points — I was looking up at centuries of devotion carved into marble. I wasn’t watching the clock — I was standing on the rooftop terraces, breathing in the view, feeling suspended between stone and sky. Headout didn’t just simplify the visit. It removed friction. And when friction disappears, awe has room to grow. It allowed the Duomo to feel not like a tourist stop, but like a moment I’ll carry with me.

We paid for full-day entry (8.30am-11pm) and it was great! We were able to take full advantage of the entire spa without being pressed for time. It's well worth the detour at the end of your stay to relax. We also ate on site at lunchtime, with an all-you-can-eat buffet for €34 per person, and with the day pass you're offered an aperitif from 4.30pm. Bathrobe, towel and flip-flops are included (but beware of theft... we had one bathrobe stolen, the second is still free, but the third you have to pay extra for). You also have shower gel/shampoo, body/face cream and hair styling products available in the changing rooms - a real plus.

With only one day in Milan, I wanted to experience as much as possible—and the Hop-On Hop-Off bus was the perfect choice. Milan is a large and vibrant city, and instead of constantly checking Google Maps or a guidebook, I was able to relax and truly enjoy the sights. I explored three of the four routes, and each one was fantastic. It’s by far the easiest and most enjoyable way to see the highlights of Milan in a short time. The commentary was informative, the buses were clean and easy to find, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Traveling light was simple too—I left my large suitcase at the airport and took my small case with me on the bus without any issues. My final route conveniently ended at Cadorna, where I could hop straight onto the express train back to the airport. An interesting, smooth, and completely hassle-free experience. I can’t wait to explore more destinations this way in the future. Thank you for such a wonderful way to discover Milan!

How to choose the best Hop-on Hop-off tour

Choosing the right hop-on hop-off tour comes down to what matters most to you. Both Milan City Sightseeing and Milan Open Tour offer flexible 24, 48, and 72-hour passes, multilingual audio guides, and easy accessibility. But a few key differences set them apart. Here’s how to decide which one suits your travel style best:

  • Routes and stops: If you’re all about covering more ground, Milan City Sightseeing has the edge with four different routes and over 40 stops. More routes mean a greater variety of landmarks and neighborhoods to explore, which is perfect for travelers who want to see it all.
  • Save some euros: For budget-conscious travelers, the Milan Open Tour is a wallet-friendly alternative option. You’ll get the same great routes and top attractions, but without the hefty price tag.
  • Combos and perks: For those looking to bundle sightseeing with major attractions, go for the City Sightseeing combo tickets—Duomo Cathedral and Museum, and Leonardo3 Museum. However, Milan Open Tour throws in some sweet discounts at the 120z coffee shop.
