Things to know before booking your Verona pass

🕐 Validity: While you can choose between 24-hour and 48-hour options, keep in mind that the countdown begins once the card is activated at your first attraction. If unused, the card remains valid for activation up to one year from the date of purchase.

1️⃣One-time entry only: Each attraction can only be visited once with the card. If you fall in love with Juliet’s House, you’ll need a separate ticket for round two!

🚫 No refunds for closures: If your chosen sites close unexpectedly due to strikes, public holidays, or special events, the card isn’t refundable.

🚌 Validate on buses: Riding an ATV urban bus? Tap your card on the reader when boarding. No tap = no ride. Please note that the Aerobus and extraurban services are off-limits with the Verona City Card.

⛰️ Extras not covered: Want to use the elevator at Lamberti Tower or the funicular? Those come with a small extra fee.

🐶 Pet policy: Good news for dog parents—many Civic Museums now allow dogs, but double-check the specific museum’s rules before you go.

🕰️ Opening hours can vary: This is especially for the Arena and churches. Events, services, and holidays may affect when you can visit. Check the opening hours of the specific attraction before you plan to visit.

🎫 Priority access is limited: Skip-the-line entry is only available at Verona Arena (Gate 5). For all other attractions, you’ll need to wait your turn—even with the card.

Juliet’s House requires advance booking: Even if you haven’t yet picked up your Verona Card, you must pre-book your visit via www.museiverona.com by selecting the "Free Verona Card" option.

📧 Reserve your Lamberti Tower visit: Booking ahead is highly recommended—especially for Torre dei Lamberti. You can reserve your time slot by emailing torredeilamberti@agec.it.

Most tourists generally don’t miss the Arena, Juliet’s House, Castelvecchio Museum and the Lamberti tower. However, if you’re the sort of traveler seeking niche experiences, the Verona card also offers entry to less-known spots like Giardino Giusti (a serene, Renaissance-style garden) and the museum inside the Roman Theater which offers a great bird’s eye view of Verona, plus houses artifacts that are rooted to the city.

How does the card work?

What are my different Verona Pass options?

We redempted our tickets very easy in Verona. The ladies at the desk were very nice and explained in detail how can we use our Verona pass. We had the 24h pass and started right away with the Arena (tickets office is next to Arena), followed with Juliets house (around 10 Am - we had appointment), following with Torrei dei Lamberti and Museo Regionale. The locations are very close to each other.

It's worth getting the Verona Card, but they should warn you that you need to take your purchase receipts to a tourist information office to get the cards, because you can't get in anywhere with just the receipts!
