RomeBorghese Gallery

World‑class concentration of Bernini & Caravaggio

No other venue offers four of Bernini’s early life‑size narrative statues plus six Caravaggios in their original context.

Authentic 17‑century villa setting

Artwork, décor, and architectural ornamentation remain in situ, providing an immersive time‑capsule absent from purpose‑built white‑cube museums.

Park‑within‑a‑park experience

Immediate spill‑out into Rome’s third‑largest landscaped park lets you easily combine your visit with bike tours, picnics, or sunset terrace aperitivos.

Capacity‑controlled intimacy

Strict timed slots ensure only 180 guests at a time, and create a rare 'private viewing' atmosphere. That's also why tickets routinely sell out weeks in advance.

Explore the wider estate

The Borghese Gallery is only a fragment of the wider Villa Borghese, a sprawling real estate comprising gardens, fountains, eateries, art-and-culture arenas and more.

What do Borghese Gallery tickets include?

Borghese Gallery tickets grant access to the museum's renowned art collection, showcasing masterpieces by Bernini, Caravaggio, and other acclaimed artists. Depending on the ticket type, inclusions may vary — some tickets offer guided tours, whereas others offer access to other sites within the larger Villa Borghese estate like the Rome Bioparco.

What’s the advantage of booking a guided tour of the Borghese Gallery?

As this gallery is packed with impressive artwork from top artists, there’s a lot to take in and you can feel overwhelmed. A guided tour will enhance your experience through an explanation of the highlights, their history and significance, etc. Guides are also happy to answer any questions you may have.

Are there Borghese Gallery audio guide tours I can book?

Yes, with your standard entry ticket, you have the option to choose an audio guide.

Do I need to pay to enter the Borghese Villa or the Borghese Gardens?

Entrance to the Villa Borghese estate and the gardens are free. However, just as the Borghese Gallery is a paid-entry-only complex within the estate, there are certain other attractions that can be accessed only via a paid ticket as well, like the Bioparco.

Are there discounted tickets to the Borghese Gallery?

EU citizens between the ages of 18 and 25 get reduced entry. People with disabilities and their companion get free entry, as do members of the ICOM, students and journalists, etc.

Magnificent building, wonderful discovery. The originality comes from the fact that you have to wait for someone to arrive at a meeting point 500 meters from the Colosseum to give you the tickets you booked online. It would have been ideal to have them sent directly to my phone!!!

The villa is a spendid example of a combination of Baroque art architecture and Roman and Greek art statues and other artefacts. As a bonus you get the paintings, where Carvaggio is the winner. Only the 6 paintings of him are a good reason to visit.
