Your Tower Bridge visit begins at the North Tower. Learn about the history of the bridge through interactive displays. You also learn about the architects and technicians who built the bridge.

One of the key highlights is the glass floor in the high-level walkway. From 42 m above the River Thames, you can get a complete view of London and spot iconic attractions such as the Tower of London, St Paul's Cathedral, London Eye, City Hall, The Shard, Wembley, and London itself.

View video footage of the Bridge lifting and original designs of the Tower Bridge. As you walk down the South Tower, you will learn about the people who have kept the tower running since 1894. Amongst the pictures and plaques, you will also find the original tools and materials used to build the tower.

Once you exit the South Tower, you will find a blue line that leads up to the Engine Room. Don't simply follow the line. Take a moment to observe the names that have been featured here. The line commemorates the men and the women who helped construct and maintain this iconic bridge.

The Engine Rooms once kept the Tower Bridge functioning. Now obsolete, these rooms continue to educate visitors about the tower's history. Visitors can view original Victorian steam engines, coal-fired boilers, drivetrains, and accumulators and learn how they work. The exhibition is available before you head to the gift shop.

Tower Bridge is open from 9:30am - 6pm daily
Last entry: 5pm
Duration: 1 hour
Closure: Tower Bridge is closed between December 24- 26.
Relaxed opening: Every second Saturday of each month, between 9:30am and 11:30am, entry to Tower Bridge is reserved for Relaxed Opening visitors, an event that is specially catered to visitors who want to explore Tower Bridge in a calm and quiet setting.
Best time to visit: Tower Bridge is an extremely popular attraction in London. During peak season (March to May), tickets tend to sell out quickly. To avoid crowds, visit in the early morning or late afternoon. Since it is an indoor attraction, you can also visit from December to February, when the tourist crowd would be less due to winter.
