Things to know before booking your London Eye tickets

  • You can buy tickets on the day. However, it is highly recommended to book your tickets online as the daily capacity has been significantly reduced and be prepared for a queue during peak times. Online ticket holders are prioritized over on-the-spot ticket buyers. Moreover, booking on the day does not give you the chance to avail of online discounts and offers.
  • Since the London Eye is a popular experience, the queue can take anywhere between 30 minutes to one hour. Expect longer queues on school holidays, long weekends, during the summer, and on bank holidays. To avoid the queues, book fast-track tickets.
  • Children between the age groups of 3 and 15 can avail of the London Eye discount price. Children below the age of 3 can enter for free.
  • Standard, fast-track, and premium experience tickets can be canceled up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund. Combo tickets, however, are non-cancellable and non-reschedulable.
  • You also need to head to the Ticket Office when you book VIP Experiences 30 minutes prior to check-in. You will need to bring your confirmation letter and/or reference number, as well as the card that was used to make the purchase. 
  • You are required to bring a photo ID along with the payment card to collect your pre-booked tickets from the London Eye. Any ID with a clear picture of the individual on it will suffice.
  • You do not need to print the tickets. You can show the ticket on your mobile and enter the ride.

  • By car: If you arrive by car, take the A3212 and the A302 to get to the London Eye.

  • Toilets and baby-changing facilities: There are male, female, and accessible toilet facilities available in the London Eye Ticket Office. Baby-change facilities are also available. There are no toilet facilities on board the London Eye itself. 
  • Refreshments: Food and beverage options are available from the London Eye gift shop at the exit.
  • Binoculars: You can pre-order your mini-binoculars when booking online or buy them on-site at one of the Gift shops.​ Remember to collect them from the gift shop next to the ticket office before you enter the queue line.
  • Luggage facility: While the London Eye does not have lockers, there is a left luggage facility in the main ticket office in County Hall, where you can pay to leave your luggage for the day whilst you visit The London Eye or any other of the Merlin attractions.
