Sunken Garden
The Sunken Garden is a secluded green oasis born back in 1908 that changed a potting shed into a classic ornamental garden. It features an elaborate gardening style with a range of flowers, ornamental pond and rotational seasonal flowers influenced by the celebrated style back in the 18th century. Don’t miss out on the White Garden, a natural space brimming with more than 12,000 hand-planted flowers all in cream and white.
Kensington Garden
Kensington Garden was initially a part of Hyde Park. When the Royal family shifted into Kensington Palace, this western half of Hyde Park was sectioned off to make the grounds for the Royals. - For deaf/hard of hearing guests- BSL interpretation tours are available for King’s State Apartments and Victoria: A Royal Childhood.
- For guests with limited mobility - Kensington Palace provides ground-level access from Kensington Gardens. All three floors are accessible via lift. Wheelchairs are available on a first come first served basis.
- Suitcases/large bags will not be permitted into Kensington Palace.
- Photographs without flash are allowed at the palace. However, filming is strictly prohibited at Kensington Palace.
- Items such as weapons, including knives and fireworks, smoke bombs, pepper spray are not allowed into the palace.
- Please do not allow children to touch or eat the plants and refrain from approaching the wildlife at the Kensington Garden.
- For safety reasons, the use of balls, frisbees, scooters, bicycles and rollerblades are not allowed in the gardens.
- Kensington Palace Cafe (within the premises): When you're tired from your tour around the Palace, stop by the Palace cafe for cakes, sandwiches, hot beverages, and refreshments. The cafe opens during the same hours as the Palace.
- The Kensington Palace Pavilion (within the premises): Known for its afternoon tea services, the Palace Pavilion offers a range of refreshments, including fine champagne. The pavilion's interiors are elegant, and the outdoor terrace overlooks the gardens, giving you a beautiful view while you enjoy a drink.
- Budget: Smart Hyde Park View (0.9 km), Central Park Hotel (0.9 km), Notting Hill Gate Hotel (1.6 km)
- Mid-budget: Thistle London Hyde Park Kensington Gardens (0.9 km), Hilton London Hyde Park (1.1 km), DoubleTree by Hilton London - Hyde Park (1.2 km)

Everything went smoothly and without a hitch. Check-in was quick. The Tower, the history, and the Crown Jewels are all worth seeing. The whole experience was enhanced by the interesting audio guide. I highly recommend it!!

The Garden were beautiful, even in winter. To be able to be indoors surrounded by majestic jungles of plants & varieties were impressive. I hope to be back from Australia this year 2026 in spring to return & see it all in bloom. My favourite glass house content was the Australian one, the smell when you first enter was beautiful & calming. The original glass houses are beautiful structures & shapes.

Great day out the green houses was beautiful , the tree top walk was fantastic and the grounds was amazing. Did not see the Japanese tower as it was close, so maybe a trip back again in the near future. 👍
