The Land of Dragons

•  Also known as the Komodo space, it hosts five distinct species native to the APAC region.
• There are two enclosures within this space. The larger enclosure is home to the Komodo dragons, Muntjac deer live in the other enclosure.
• The Java Sparrow, the striking Nicobar Pigeon, and the elegant Pied Imperial Pigeon live in the enclosure as well. 
• This area marks a significant milestone as the zoo's first fully renovated facility. With a focus on modern zoo-immersion techniques, the 140-meter route is designed to replicate the natural conditions of the inhabitants, providing a more enriching and authentic experience for both the animals and visitors alike.

Terrari or Terrarium

• Barcelona Zoo's Terrarium is globally acclaimed for its impressive collection of reptiles and amphibians.
• Explore creatures of various sizes, ranging from small dragons and dwarf crocodiles to pythons and large spectacled caimans.
• Visit the in-house animal breeding room to witness adorable baby tortoises, snakes, and iguanas.
• As you conclude your journey through this zone, discover a wooden footbridge connecting several ponds. Here, encounter an immense Siamese crocodile and a diverse array of fish.

Primate Gallery

• The Primate Gallery replicates natural living environments for primates, fostering conservation efforts for species such as the red monkey, talapoin, collared Mangabey, white-nosed monkey, putty-nosed monkey, Brazza monkey, and Siamang.
• Enclosed by glass walls, the gallery offers a comprehensive view for the public, allowing observation of the primates' daily activities, including rope climbing and enjoying their meals.

Aviarium

• Established in the 1970s, the Barcelona Zoo Aviary hosts a diverse array of over 70 bird species originating from different continents.
• Notably, its successful breeding programs have played a pivotal role in bolstering the populations of various endangered bird species.
• As part of the 2002 renovations, the Aviary integrates distinct ecosystems representing African, American, and Asian jungles.
• Among the numerous bird species inhabiting the Aviary are the White-naped pheasant pigeon, Wattled jacana, Crested partridge, and Sunbittern, contributing to the aviary's rich biodiversity.

Marmosets Gallery

• Built in 1990, the Marmosets Gallery or the Titi Monkey Gallery is currently home to seven species of the South American marmosets, namely: Cotton-top tamarin, Silvery marmoset, Goeldi's monkey, Red-handed tamarin, Emperor tamarin, Golden-headed lion tamarin, and the Pygmy marmoset.
• The animals live inside tiny homes, where the temperature and humidity are controlled.
• When the weather permits, you will find them sunbathing outside in small islands of vegetation with shrubs.

Palmeral

• As you enter the Barcelona Zoo, you will see find the Parmeral, a zone with 13 well-built birdhouses.
• Here you will find many psittaciform species such as white cockatoos, the hyacinth macaw, the blue macaw, the golden parrot, and the red-breasted parrot among others.
• You can stroll through the garden and observe these birds from various vantage points.
• The vegetation outside and the design of the aviaries work together to make the experience an immersive one for the visitors.

Flight Dome

• Built with the support of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) of the Nature Conservation Institute (ICONA) in 1985, the Flight Done is a region where bird species that inhabit swamp areas are housed.
• You will find water zones and grasslands here. The different kind of vegetation makes it a great environment for the breeding of several native species that are endangered.
• This zone has helped in the recovery of endangered species.

Farm

• Also known as the Children's Zoo, this zone is home to several goats, horses, sheep, cows, and pigs.
• It is also home to a Catalan Donkey, a species on the verge of extinction, and smaller farm animals such as rabbits and field mice.
• A lake within the Farm serves as the breeding zone for the midwife toad, the green frog, and the Mediterranean tree frog.
• This zone is designed to allow children the opportunity to interact with animals.

Biodiversity garden

• The Biodiversity Garden was designed so that the native fauna in Barcelona could thrive. 
• The garden is cultivated and maintained such that there is minimal human interaction.
• Several feeders contain food that the animals can feed on. They often also take refuge here, and sometimes, even reproduce in the garden. 
• You will also find a small lake, where the Iberian green frog, the midwife toad and the Mediterranean tree frog breed.
